Activity 2 1-10-11

What is atomic mass? The atomic mass- Mass of 1 mole of atoms.
What is a dozen? A dozen is another way of saying 12.
What is a case? A case is 24, 2 dozen.
What is a gross? Twelve dozen, a dozen dozen, 144
What is a mole? A mole is a number. 6.02 x 10^23
How many planet earths are needed to have a mole of people?
100,000,000,000,000

The atomic mass  is the mass of a specific isotope, most often expressed in unified atomic mass units. The atomic mass is the total mass of protons, neutrons and electrons in a single atom (when the atom is motionless).

6.02214179(30)×1023

All the sand particles on all the beaches in the world= 1 mole.
6.02 x10^23= 1 mole
6 x 10^9=  6 billion people on earth.
X x 6x10^9 = 6.02x10^23
X= 6.02x10^23/ 6x 10^9
1x 10^14
100,000,000,000,000
